TORO LOCO®
Somos Locos !

PEOPLE, RICHNESS AND PASSION
TORO LOCO® started as a local project based on a community of 3 000 families.
TORO LOCO® was born many years ago, in the Utiel-Requena territory, 30 000 hectares of which 10 000 hectares make TORO LOCO® cultivated and picked mostly by hand by 3 000 families.
The “Bobal” grape is the most common in the area and this grape gave us the name of the brand, because “Bobal,” in Old Spanish means “bull head.”
And “Loco” (crazy) is what local people said when a French man, from a family of Bordeaux winemakers, decided to create a wine in a secret region in Spain.
We came here to Utiel-Requena, looking for a great but also unknown wine territory. And we made many friends here, and found partners to help us make the wine with the quality we were looking for.
More than ten years later, after a lot of work and shared experiences, the French and Spanish team achieved Toro Loco®, a wine different, with a unique signature, that is so successful all around the world.
We work as a close family. Obviously, with the pressure that comes with producing TORO LOCO®, to show the world that we can do something different, delicious with extraordinary value for money.
